Hey there! My name is Amy Rederburg.
I’m the face behind the screens of Writerburg Media.
For the past 10 years, I’ve earned a living making unique promotional concepts for radio and have multiple awards in my back pocket. My skill for starting conversations is now being applied to digital content writing services.
You’re probably reading this to figure out what I’m all about, so you’ve come to the right place.
You’re busy, I get it. Here’s a short highlight reel on me…
- First and foremost, I’m a script writing copywriter who studies what customers want to know about your business in order to create compelling conversations that deliver value and results.
- A first-class Communications Degree holder who loves translating complex information into simple, persuasive dialogue.
- A storyteller with 10+ years of experience managing clients across industries. From financial to technical sectors – I develop ideas you need to engage your customer.
- I’m someone who likes to have fun.
Have a little more time? The long version is…
For the better part of a decade, I’d been script writing for clients from burgeoning start-ups to large corporations as a copywriter for broadcast media. Decision makers trusted my ability to transform words into theatre of the mind.
I loved my career in script writing for radio, but I wanted to do more. So I continued to work in the industry while paying my way through university, eventually earning my Communications Degree with Distinction from the University of Calgary in 2015.
Throughout my career I dabbled in website content writing services.
Sometimes my radio bosses gave me chances to experiment when I wasn’t script writing. Like the time I improved traffic by 500% for a group of Alberta radio stations by initiating their website content management. Or when I created a top-trending province-wide hashtag and the station’s followers increased by 25% over a one-week period (Twitter). Dipping my toes into website content writing opened my eyes to a world of opportunities.
Script writing taught me how to quickly grab attention in a world full of noise.
Most of all it helped me discover what was missing. And for me that was seeing the results of my efforts in front of my eyes. Content uses the most effective forms of media to tell a story that is just as valuable for the person reading it as it is for my client, whether they’re an agency or a mom and pop down the block.
Enough about me. Let’s talk about you.
