SMByxe holds events that are open to everyone with takeaways at each meeting. Social media-oriented guest speakers share their experience and expertise, followed by an opportunity to network with a community of like-minded individuals.
How’d Social Media Breakfast start?
Donna McTaggart of SMByyc inspired me to start building this community from her group in Calgary. She has been a helpful resource in building the SMByxe community. However Social Media Breakfast (SMB) was started by founder, Bryan Person, back in 2007 when blogging was big and Twitter was a baby. Today, SMBs are active in many major cities around the world. They chat about all sorts of topics tied to social media which have grown to include much more than hashtags and articles
Who goes to Social Media Breakfast?
SMByxe holds breakfast meetings open to everyone from expert marketing pros to folks wondering how to use Snapchat. No matter what, you can count on SMByxe to give you actionable takeaways, followed by opportunities to connect face-to-face with a new community of individuals. The goal is for all guests in the room that morning to build networks and strong relationships with leaders and social media professionals in the community.

How much is Social Media Breakfast?
There is no set cost to attend SMByxe, but registration is required and donations are encouraged with proceeds going to a new charity every month. Feel good about passing your money for coffee and a light breakfast on to local non-profit groups.
